November Events with the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism (FAIR)

Two amazing FAIR events I had the honor of lending my voice to: The first was an event held in collaboration with Occidental College and the student-run Persuasion Club, featuring FAIR founder Bion Bartning, Salome Sibonex, John Wood Jr., Bertrand Cooper, Daryl Davis, Winston Marshall, Jacob Mackey and the Persuasion team. The second event, ‘An Evening with FAIR’, was an inspiring friendraiser where I, along with Winston Marshall, Michelle Polino, Lincoln Jones, Bion Bartning and the Los Angeles FAIR community had the opportunity to discuss and debate navigating the LA arts scene as out-of-the-box artists.

Exiles In Babylon 2022 On Demand

I recently had the honor of speaking at Theology In The Raw’s First Annual ‘Exiles In Babylon’ Conference in Boise, Idaho. I shared specifically on the need for forgiveness in the race conversation. This clip is just a snippet of a longer talk, and an event broader session on race, with other guest speakers such as Thabiti Anyabwile, Derwin L. Gray and Ed Uszynski.

If you weren’t able to make it to the conference, no worries, because it is now available for purchase on demand! You can access either the entire conference or the individual sessions.

BUZZFEED | 3 Artists Customize And Style White Overalls

I was honored to be a part of Buzzfeed’s As/Is channel, customizing white overalls for the ‘3 Artists Customize And Style White Overalls’ video. My approach involved drawing 57 portraits of my friends in the LA skate community; a piece I titled ‘floating faces’.

ADIDAS | SUGAR PRESENTS: What Does Change Mean To You?

You are looking at the finished product of Adidas LA's ‘The “New” Skate Video 101’ class taught by professional photographer and “Professor” Tom Bender. The week that was has been so inspiring!! We had only 5 days, and one iPhone 11 Pro, to document the shift in LA's skateboarding culture. I worked with Steven Meidenbauer and Alyssa Fioravanti (together forming Team Sugar) to create this piece. It features the diverse faces of girls/queer skateboarding in Los Angeles:
